We strongly urge all MEPs of the Hungarian left not to endanger the peace and security of Hungary with their lies!

“We strongly urge all MEPs of the Hungarian left to refrain from lying and not to endanger the peace and security of Hungary with their lies, regardless of the election campaign”, MEP Tamás Deutsch, head of the Fidesz delegation to the European Parliament said.

“Unfortunately, during Hungarian election campaigns, we have become accustomed to the Hungarian left putting the flood of lies in the European Parliament into turbo gear”, Tamás Deutsch noted. According to the head of the delegation, during the last Strasbourg plenary session before the parliamentary elections on 3 April, “MEPs of the Gyurcsány-Marki-Zay left, including Dobrev, Ujhelyi and Katalin Cseh, are preparing to attack and slander Hungary as much as they can”.

However, there is a war raging in our country’s neighbourhood. “And in times of war, there is a great deal at stake. Hungary’s peace and security must be preserved! In this time of danger, the MEPs of the Gyurcsány-Marki-Zay left are harming hundreds of thousands of Hungarians with all their lies”, MEP Tamás Deutsch underlined. Their parliamentary outbursts against Hungary, their blatant lies, disinformation and slander, their initiatives that risk Hungary drifting into the war, their proposals that threaten Hungary’s energy security, are endangering the security of millions of Hungarians.

MEP Tamás Deutsch said: “Enough of their irresponsibility, stop endangering the peace and security of Hungarians with lies and misleading statements. Stop pouring fuel on the fire!”
